



Halifax:
Thirty minutes from Larinda's Landing,
downtown Halifax has become such a popular vacation destination because of the diverse array of things to do. The stunning waterfront boardwalk will allow you to watch the cruise ships come and go from this beautiful port city; shop in elegant European style boutiques, and delight your taste buds in some of the many restaurants, recommended in the highly acclaimed “Where to eat in Canada”. The night life is hard to beat with sidewalk cafés, live music, and our world class Casino. "Neptune Theatre" offers incredible live theatre productions, and the "Halifax Feast Dinner Theatre" provides you with enough laughter to last an entire evening. Point Pleasant Park is host to "Shakespeare by the Sea", staging unique, outdoor live performances of several of William Shakespeare’s famous works. If it’s history you’re interested in, the options are plentiful. You can begin the day with a tour of Citadel Hill. This huge fortress in the heart of downtown Halifax overlooks Halifax harbour and has within its walls a fabulous military and naval museum. Just a two-minute walk from Citadel Hill will find you enjoying the delights of the first ever in Canada, Victorian Public Gardens and about a 5 minute walk from there, you can find yourself entering either the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic or the Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History. These are just a sample of what this incredible diverse city has to offer.

Hubbards Cove:
Ten minute drive – This picture perfect cove at the entrance to Hubbards Village is decorated with an array of colourful boats. This busy little village is where you’ll find the grocery store, hardware store, doctor’s office and pharmacy along with several restaurants and antique shops. Saturday mornings can be spent strolling through the Farmers Market, where you can purchase fresh seafood, produce, locally crafted souvenirs, and folk art. Hubbards is also home of the "Shore Club", Nova Scotia's last original 1950's style dance hall.
Chester:
A small town about twenty minutes from Hubbards. It is the home of Chester Race Week: seven days of racing, music, dancing and dining, that turn this town into an authentic maritime party. This boaters paradise is a great place to shop, golf at the Chester Golf Club, and attend one of the great live theatre productions at "The Chester Playhouse".
Mahone Bay:
The picturesque town of Mahone Bay is only 35 Minutes from Larinda's Landing. Entering Mahone Bay is a visual delight that every visitor is sure to remember. The Pastoral setting of four churches reflected in the crystal calm waters, will leave you breathless. The main street is perfect for an afternoon stroll through the numerous antique shops, local craft shops and galleries, as well as lots of pubs and restaurants for your dining pleasure. This scenic spot is host to several festivals, such as “The Classic Boat Festival” and “The Scarecrow Festival”.
Lunenburg:
Only 45 minutes from Larinda's Landing. A Unesco World Heritage site, Lunenburg invites you to explore the history of the South Shore. Home of the world famous schooner “The Bluenose” and host to the annual “Lunenburg Festival of Crafts”, this town is a great place to spend a day. The Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic is steeped in history and will complete the fascinating story of this area after a horse-drawn carriage ride through town. The shipbuilding history, architectural uniqueness and brightly coloured waterfront, makes this town one of the most highly rated vistas on the South Shore.

Bridgewater:
A gorgeous one-hour drive along the lighthouse route will lead you to Bridgewater. Spend a day of sight-seeing and visit Bridgewater for dining and cultural interests. The beautiful Lahave River meanders its way through this lovely town that is known as the shopping hub of the South Shore. You can visit the Ross Farm Museum, shop for antiques, or spend a few hours in the downtown Mall. Bridgewater is another beautiful town that is sure to provide a day of Nova Scotia's culture and hospitality.
